Ant Control Tips & Tricks

ants crawling in the dirt

Prepping food with the family is Fun… (in an Ant FREE Kitchen!!) We spend so much time in the kitchen – whether it’s eating a quick meal, preparing food with or for the whole family or just gathering around to socialize. The last guest you want to see running around the kitchen is an ANT!

Ants are one of the most pervasive pests in Maryland – As the weather warms, ants begin to forage for food. Unfortunately, they like a lot of the same foods we like. It is not uncommon to find them in kitchen cabinets, countertops, family rooms, bathrooms, and other areas where food and moisture exist.

Tips for keeping ants out of the kitchen

  1. Wipe up crumbs after you finish preparing/eating a meal. Foraging ants will quickly be attracted to leftover crumbs!
  2. Caulk and seal cracks or crevices. Cracks around doors and windows provide easy entry points into your home. Sealing them up will help keep ants and other pests out of your home.
  3. The best way to prevent ants from infiltrating your home is with professional pest prevention. Ant control isn't something you or your family should be worried about while having fun in the kitchen.

BOG Pest Control can completely solve your ant problem – it begins with identification (do you have pavement ants? odorous house ants? acrobat ants? etc) and then we custom design a solution to eliminate the ant species invading your home.
