The B.O.G. Pest Control Scholarship Fund

Since our founding in 1989, B.O.G. Pest Control has been dedicated to promoting the well-being of our customers and the community they live in. Because we're locally based just outside of Annapolis, Maryland, the protection of the environment and our water resources is a priority for B.O.G. Pest Control.

This is why we place an emphasis on organic-based and bay-friendly pest control techniques and products. We recognize that advancements in biology, chemistry, chemical engineering, entomology, environmental engineering, plant sciences, environmental sciences, green technology, and related fields all start with a focus on education.

In 2016, Mark and Brad Leahy of B.O.G. Pest Control established a merit-based scholarship fund for individuals seeking undergraduate or graduate level education in chemistry, chemical engineering, biology, environmental studies or related fields. They found the experience so rewarding that they have decided to make this $1,000 an annual tradition.

The winner of the scholarship will be a person who demonstrates academic excellence, as well as a passion for the pursuit of further study in environmental education at an accredited college or university.

The scholarship will last for the duration of one year and be paid directly to the winning candidate to use towards tuition and board during the fall semester.
